Absolutely loved this movie! Most fun I’ve had at a movie in a long time! I hope they make a third one:) BTW, I don’t usually like violence in movies, but this works on so many levels.
And we wonder why movies suck now days…they are cheating us out…as usual…I never thought it sounded smart to outsource movie making to SHITTY places for that sweet sweet cash everyone so desires
Regarding "cheaper and dumber", I had heard an NPR story about movies way back when, maybe the 90s, that said that grade B movies were more the rule because the market was in Asia and all they demanded was a) nonstop action and (b) a known quantity. Thus, franchise movies with stupid stories because action flicks don't need stories.
That things start looking the same is no surprise, because, IMO, quality story telling aren't the goal, profit is.
Not sure if I'd point to the Washington Commanders stadium deal as a "not bad" subsidy (Neil deMause, a "sports economics" journalist, estimates it'll cost ~$6.6 BILLION). But anyway, all of these film industry subsidies are dumb, and I'm sort of glad that perhaps the state of Georgia is learning that the hard way. Makes no sense when you realize the state is spending tens/hundreds of thousands of dollars to create a single job.

I love Bob Odenkirk! That's my response.

A dad movie more dull than dad? Is there no bottom to our movie viewing?
