RIP Alexei Navalny. An exemplar of the purest courage in an era where they're hard to come by, at least in our country. We have a party refusing to show spine against a guy who isn't even in office, and Navalny shames all of them.

Tucker Carlson is hurtling himself headlong into the maw of irrelevance.

Agreed, and it can't happen soon enough. And Putin, well, he can go to Hell.

Poor Tucker. HeтАЩs becoming less and less relevant by the second and his desperation is showing.

Carlson is leading us in real time to redefine the term appeasement -- or at least have his picture placed next to it in the dictionary in place of that of Chamberlain. That seems not to be a good thing, to pretty much everyone but Carlson. So much for his analytical skills.

And if he really wanted clean subways, he could have just travelled to Montreal! From his cabin in Maine, he could have accomplished his investigation on a day trip!

I suspect if Carlson were to tour towns and cities that aren't Moscow or St Petersburg he'd have a different view of Russian life.

Carlson sees what Putin wants him to see and doubtless is treated well along the way in order to butter up his messaging. He could get the same deal from Kim Jong Un in North Korea, perhaps the next stop on his Tyrants Tour.

The man was always dumber than a bag of hammers, but the media fawns all over rich people like him. "He's rich and he wears a bow tie, he must be an intellectual." Sigh.

"Appeasement" is much too generous for Carlson. He is unabashedly rooting for the authoritarian powers.

Sad to say, but "appeasement" applies to the largest share of leaders & pundits in the U.S., including the Biden administration. It is considered wise policy to equip Ukraine only to the point where a stalemate occurs and a partition is negotiated. I believe opinion is divided into three camps:

25% - Anti Ukraine, let Putin win

50% - Appeasement

25% - Support Ukraine to force Russian withdrawal

I perceive the percentages as similar in Europe, although Ukraine support is somewhat stronger due to their proximity.
