For me, voting for Trump or considering voting for Trump after everything's that's gone down is a moral failure of the highest order. So maybe it's like JVL said a few weeks back: maybe this is who the American people are.

I just can't fathom how a rational person can vote for someone who says "Writer Maggot Hagerman of the Failing New York Times wrote almost her entire FAKE story today about the Trump Hating JudgeтАЩs Gag Order (They love to silence me!), rather than the Racist Attorney GeneralтАЩs STAR witness chocking like a dog on the Witness Stand (Perry Mason?), and admitting that I NEVER asked him to do anything wrong. He also admitted that he lied to Congress Under Oath, AGAIN, brand new charges. THAT MEANS THEY NO LONGER HAVE A WITNESS, OR A CASE. She also failed to report that the Trump Hating Judge refuses to respect or accept the Appeals Court decision reversing him, a first! Maggot should focus her energies on Corrupt Prosecutors and Judges, whose hatred and bias is so great that they are unable to make a fair and reasonable decision. New York is crime ridden and dying, but I will save it in 2024тАж It canтАЩt come too fast!" or who insult AMERICA calling us 'failing'. A guy who would 'govern' by temper tantrum; with his finger on the nuclear button??????? HIs followers essentially love seeing him take a dump and call it manly strength.

Did you see Colbert the other night with a clip of TFG riffing on and on about his microphone? The man is brain-damaged. How could anyone believe otherwise?

Because they agree with what he says. Do you know how often I have heard that same stuff from supposedly smart people in my line of work? I am not talking about some uneducated clown, but people law and business degrees from top universities. And that doesn't even include the clients.

There are some pretty bad people in this country.

I would love to ask such people *why* they agree with what he says and really dig deep into that sort of thinking.

Me too. And I would be willing to listen without judgment because I know their grappling with an answer might enlighten them somewhat, and I wouldn't have to say anything. However, few would agree to be questioned.

Truly scary. People who study the intracies of law and how to make argumentation are swayed by a 6th grade potty-mouth who uses childish nicknames and stomps his feet. The courtroom appears to be the only place in the US where facts matter. Though if Trump is elected, that institution will also either degrade or become irrelevant.

I would like this 100 times if I could.

Its a certain type of person who buys into this. I call it the Matt Gaetzifcation of America. I work with a lot of Matt Gaetz types; the sort of person who hates on Affirmative Action yet only got into their college because their Dad went there. The sort of person who says openly that they will leave America and move to some foreign country where, and I quote, "Taxes are low and Chicks are easier".

I wish I were making this up.

Love this: "the sort of person who hates on Affirmative Action yet only got into their college because their Dad went there". More narcissistic projection.

I think we've learned in the hardest possible way, that the irrational has powerful emotional sway, particularly when it appeals to latent grievances, and that people react to that more than they do to any appeal to logic or rationality. Hate garners more support than love. Humans are truly awful when operating in a group motivated by grievance and disappointment.

It's weird to me that there is a choice and people chose Hamas. Both sides have suffered, elements of both sides have been unreasonable, but one side is democratic and the other side is genocidal. Where are they getting their moral constructs?

Well said. The country, well nearly half of us, needs therapy to recognize their latent grievances and the emotions driving them so they can learn to not act out their feelings. The social pressure from their fellow MAGAns will be tough, though.
