I was going to be a little bit more diplomatic, but sure, I think that's objectively true. We have two tweets that we're going to be talking about, one from Annie Ogles and one from Nancy Mace, both of which suggest, if not directly, call for the deportation of... You got it. Zohar Mamdani.

Racist Republicans Want to Deport Zohran?

86

Sam Stein and Tim Miller break down the grotesque and dangerous rhetoric from GOP Reps. Andy Ogles and Nancy Mace, who suggested deporting New York mayoral candidate and naturalized U.S. citizen Zohran Mamdani. We go beyond the outrage to explain how trolling rhetoric like this is often a precursor to actual policy, and why ignoring it is not an option.

The Christian nationalists do not want the Muslims in our country. It’s all about religion.

Religion has started many wars in the history of civilization.

There is a reason why our founding fathers created this country in our constitution to have absolute separation of church and state.

Christian nationalism has corrupted our country

Barack Obama was right when he said it went back to the days of the Crusades

Sam, you mention here about a person being taken off the streets that was missed in media and how it is impossible to keep track of those disappearing .

Please consider this and read to the end.

I really think this should be pointed out by everybody over and over offering the true narrative as to why this brutality is going on. We are definitely in a crisis.

Facts :

They now are calling for Zohran Mamdani to be deported .

They are targeting anybody and everybody for removal while masked up showing no credentials .

They have started early gerrymandering again.

Please check out Marjorie Taylor Green’s latest pathological lying gaslighting deceptive tweet about pushing through an early census.

She tweets :

“I just got off the phone with President Trump!!

I told him about my new bill I am introducing that will save America's elections from ever being stolen again!”

They just passed this horrible Bill 51 to 50

Trump just tweeted :

“Trump calls for deporting US citizens: "We also have a lot of bad people that have been here for a long time ... many of them were born in our country. I think we ought to get them the hell out of here too, if you want to know the truth. So maybe that'll be the next job."

The Republicans have been very skilled practitioners of gaslighting and created the narrative for decades that the Democrats only want immigrants because they are the only ones “that vote for Democrats” ( see below Trump’s words at G7)

Then they continued extreme gaslighting, creating the narrative about the invasion at the border and danger and criminals and mentally ill invading us trying to create a crisis and an emergency.

Just like the manufacturer created emergency and crisis Trump created in Los Angeles to be able to send the National Guard in the military.

Also remember this gaslighting? It’ll show at the end.

https://youtu.be/xXd20VDrLII

THERE IS A METHOD TO THEIR MADNESS .

Dean Bloundel Canadian journalist first reported on the G7 meeting with a video clip of Trump which is available for all to see now.

The piece that stands out to me the most in that video clip of Trump, who at the same time was defending Russia and saying they should be at the G7 meeting Bloundel reported:

“Targeting U.S. “enemy” cities:

In the very same media scrum, Trump ABRUPTLY PIVOTED to DOMESTIC politics, bragging about a new push to deport immigrants from Democratic-run “sanctuary cities.” He railed that “most of those people are in…all blue cities, all Democrat-run cities, and they think they’re going to use them to VOTE. It’s not going to happen”.

Listen and read his words carefully he is speaking it out loud

“THEY’RE NOT GOING TO USE THEM TO VOTE”

Doing all of this to affect the upcoming midterm elections.

He was actually telling why they’re targeting blue states and cities trying to purge all immigrants because once again they’re trying to purge the voters control voting limit voting.

Plus Noem declared they were going to never go away and they’re going to “LIBERATE “California.

From their own duly ELECTED officials !!

Always trying to overturn an election and go against the will of the people.

They tried to do this on January 6 when they mounted the most violent attack and treasonous insurrection trying to take over our Capitol building to stop the certification of a legitimate election and go against the will of the people.

They even went so far as to create illegally a FAKE SET OF ELECTORS from several states and manipulated to try to get the fake set of electors read into the record rep replacing the real ones that day.

They have tried to undermine and destroy the Federal Voting Rights Act of 1965 at every turn and at every state level

Yes, indeed, Trump announced at the G7 why they were going after the immigrants in the democratic blue state and cities.

The fact that he is president of the United States and he talks about blue versus red states and still wears his red Maga hat instead of being president for the whole of the United States of America and all Americans is just outrageous, offensive and perverted.

Nothing is presidential with integrity and honor, defending the constitution of the United States of America and our democracy.

All of this has been pushed through normal channels, which is impossible when there is no equivalency for what’s going on.

They know they cannot win fairly and by their pure nature, they don’t want to.

The Republican Party is dead gutted out .

We need a healthy Republican Party in this country for democracy.

In a democracy that’s working there is bipartisan cooperation. Each side it’s supposed to be considered to having good ideas coming together to negotiate on behalf of the good of the American people defending our constitution and our democracy.

That is not what we have had in decades

McCarthyism from the 50s in Wisconsin never went away the Nixon people and the corruption never went away

Fascism authoritarianism that reared his head in the 30s and 40s never went away

after the purging of the John Birch society (so they thought ) - never went away

History is repeating itself from the 30s and 40s with Germany

Tim , Sam and Substack Bulwark friends

I read this a few days ago and hope all can read .

It really puts things into perspective especially about the word “socialist.”

Written by Kevin Dolgin who is affiliate professor at the Sorbonne Business School in Paris where he teaches entrepreneurship and consumer behavior in the MBA program. A graduate of Fordham University (USA), INSEAD and of the Sorbonne Business School. Born in New York City, has lived in Paris for 30 years.

He writes :

“It seems to me that this habit of viewing other developed nations as “socialist”, is a uniquely American trait, and one that is rather new.

I’m going to make a bold statement: THERE ARE NO SOCIALIST COUNTRIES, at least not in the developed world. Even China, which is nominally communist (therefore socialist) has greatly opened up its economy to private ownership since the death of Mao, and today, about 70% of the economy is in private hands (see What percentage of the Chinese economy is state-owned?). There remain parties that have “socialist” in their names, but even they are not actually militating for a socialist system.

Socialism is a specific economic / political form of society in which the means of production are owned by the population as a whole, typically through the government. The Soviet Union and its satellites were socialist.

There is no developed country in which the means of production are all owned by the government. There are many countries in which certain companies are owned by the government, typically companies dealing with public goods, such as railroads, utilities, etc. In France, the national rail service is owned by the government, for example, and in the United States, the postal service is government owned. This does not make either of the two countries socialist.

Neither is there any developed nation that is truly entirely “capitalist”, if capitalism means allowing only Adam Smith’s invisible hand to regulate business. In the 19th century, for example, capitalism in most countries was given a freer hand. However, in the late part of the century and early part of the 20th century, just about every country started regulating it more closely. For example, in the United States in 1900 there were no child labor laws, no laws against workplace discrimination, no laws limited the workweek, no right to strike, no anti-trust laws… etc. Likewise, there was virtually no public “safety nets”, i.e. transfer payments to the poor, disabled, orphans, etc. This was similar to other nations.

Since then, most countries have instituted all of these laws, regulations and public aid programs. Some have gone farther than others. In France total governmental spending as a percent of GDP is quite high, at 56.7%, as compared to 37.6% in the United States. This could be seen as a general idea of the role of government in the economy, so the country has clearly decided to move more to the “left” of the United States economically, as have most nations.

Most Americans I meet and talk to are rather international and it has become clear to me that opinions back in the States are very different.

It strikes me that there is an American (or at least alt-right) obsession with calling everything that isn’t strictly conservative “socialist”. Those who do this seem to get quite agitated about it as well, becoming angry with said “socialists”. I was flummoxed to see that these same people sometimes even go so far as to state that the Nazis were socialists too, and that Nazism was a leftist ideology: apparently because the word “socialist” is part of the party’s name, which would indicate that North Korea is democratic… but that’s another story.

I have the impression that there’s a certain nostalgia for the cold war, when there were good Americans and evil commies. Now that the commies are gone, “socialists” have become the new bogeymen, whether they are lurking in the Assemblée Nationale or in the Democratic party. But those same people were fighting the cold war too, and we all won! Hurray! No one wants Soviet-style socialism, or any other socialism. The French, as well as other citizens of developed countries all want democratic capitalism, and they have it. At the same time, no one wants to go back to the unregulated robber-baron era of 1890, it’s all just a question of where on that regulatory spectrum we should be. There are different opinions and different answers to that, but by painting a picture of a good vs evil dichotomy, all discussion is shut down and progress ceases.”

So there are echoes from the Pax Americana past of the US disapproving of a very left leaning Iranian: Mosaddegh. He was the democratically elected PM of Iran from 1951-53 who ushered in (gasp)“socialist” reforms like social security, higher taxes including land taxes, and the nationalization of Iranian oil. (taken from British petrol interests). The guy was very progressive for the time. BUT…the UK and the US, threatened by his removal of oil interests, helped the internal overthrow via coup and installed the Shah….who was a brutal dictator and later overthrown in the…1979 Islamic Revolution. R-klans today are suffering Reptilian brain ancestral vitriol towards an educated, progressive Muslim Indian-American naturalized citizen who suggests that NYC can do better than just have a mayor who professes a hatred of rats and collects kickbacks from the highest bidder….

The Thomas case was under Obama. It’s actually very clear under the law that he’s not a citizen. You are not automatically a citizen at birth (outside of the US) if your father is a citizen. He needs to meet certain requirements that his father, a naturalized citizen, did not meet under the law.

Thomas had a green card. He could have naturalized. He didn’t. He was charged with a crime. That can make you deportable. In 2013, he was issued a notice to appear because they intended to deport him.

Don’t get wrong — the law needs correction here. This is ridiculous for someone like him.

But this is 100% legal, initiated by the Obama admin.
