Loved this. Like a lot of other MSNBC watchers, I've seen quite a bit of David Jolly over the past few years. I've always been impressed by two things, one, his sheer presence, which is imbued with intelligence, something you might call balance or reason, and two his gravitas, which might be another way of saying the same thing. We Democrats need more candidates for office like him, and I'm saying this from the lefty side of the party. Thanks for the deeper dive, which has pretty much convinced me that my more or less intuitive impression of him is correct.
